Job summary

Deutsche Windtechnik is seeking a Technician II to support maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of wind turbines. You will interpret fault reports, maintain power generation logs, and service logs in the computer databases, and monitor turbine performance. Work independently on electrical and mechanical components.

The opportunity to lead in the Lock Out Tag Out program. The role requires a high school diploma, 1+ year wind tech experience, and a clean driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; an associate degree is a bonus but not required.
• 1+ years’ experience as a Wind Turbine Technician.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to read and interpret documents and follow instructions.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and handle problems with one concrete variable.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of wind turbines.
• Interpret fault reports, maintain power generation reports, and service logs.
• Work independently on electrical and mechanical components.
• Lead in Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) safety practices.
• Replace major turbine components such as generators and gearboxes.
• Assist with high-voltage system maintenance and repair.
