Job summary

Deutsche Windtechnik is seeking a Technician II to support wind turbine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair. You will interpret fault reports, maintain logs, and monitor performance, with opportunities to lead in the LOTO program.

The role requires 1+ year as a Wind Turbine Technician, a clean driving record, and the ability to work in challenging weather conditions at heights. Training and safety are emphasized throughout the position.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; Associates degree is a bonus, but not required.
• 1+ years' experience as a Wind Turbine Technician.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to read and interpret documents and follow safety rules and procedures.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to solve problems involving at least one concrete variable in standardized situations.
• Must pass a physical exam and drug/alcohol screening.
• Capable of lifting and/or moving up to 100 pounds.
• Able to free climb 300 ft multiple times a day with climbing gear and work in extreme weather.

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of wind turbines.
• Interpret fault reports, maintain power generation reports, and service logs.
• Monitor turbine performance and operate with minimal supervision.
• Lead in the Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) program.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and unscheduled troubleshooting of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
