Job summary

Deutsche Windtechnik is seeking a Technician II to support maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of wind turbines. You will interpret fault reports, maintain performance logs, and service records, working independently on electrical and mechanical components.

The role includes leadership opportunities within the Lock Out Tag Out program. You will perform routine preventive maintenance, handle unscheduled repairs, and ensure adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; Associate degree is a plus.
• 1+ year experience as Wind Turbine Technician.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Ability to read and interpret documents and follow instructions.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to pass physical exam and drug/alcohol screening.
• Capable of lifting up to 100 pounds and climbing 300 ft in gear.
• Ability to rescue teammates in tower during emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on turbines.
• Complete work orders, checklists, and related paperwork.
• Identify turbine error codes and report issues promptly.
• Replace major components such as generators and gearboxes.
• Assist with high-voltage system maintenance.
