Job summary

Deutsche Windtechnik is seeking an Associate Technician to support wind turbine maintenance in the US market. You will work under senior technicians, using mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic skills to keep turbines running while learning and growing in the wind industry.

You’ll perform routine preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, generate reports, and assist in all areas of site operations, including high-voltage system tasks, with a strong emphasis on safety and LOTO procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required; an associate degree is a bonus.
• Valid Driver’s License is required.
• Ability to read and interpret documents, and follow safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Must be able to pass a physical exam and drug/alcohol screening.
• The job involves lifting and/or moving up to 100 pounds and climbing wind turbines up to 300 ft in gear.
• Must establish and follow Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on wind turbines using mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic skills.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on-site.
• Generate required reports and paperwork.
• Assist with high-voltage system maintenance and general site operations.
