Job summary

Deutsche Windtechnik in Houston, TX is seeking an Associate Technician to support wind turbine maintenance using mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic skills alongside senior technicians.

You will perform routine and unscheduled maintenance, learn advanced troubleshooting, and assist in all site operations while adhering to safety standards. This role offers training and growth within a leading wind service provider.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; an associate degree is a bonus.
• Valid Driver's License and ability to read and interpret documents.
• Must pass physical exam and drug/alcohol screening.
• Able to lift up to 100 pounds and climb turbines up to 300 ft.
• Safety-focused with ability to follow procedures and PPE rules.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on wind turbines using mechanical, electrical and hydraulic skills.
• Conduct unscheduled maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Learn advanced troubleshooting and turbine repair; report issues clearly.
• Assist in all site operations and with high-voltage system maintenance when needed.
• Generate required reports and adhere to safety policies and LOTO where applicable.
