Job summary

Deutsche Windtechnik in the United States is seeking a skilled Associate Technician to perform maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of wind turbine mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems. Qualifications

• High School Graduate/GED.
• Associate Degree preferred (not required).
• Wind Energy Certifications encouraged.
• Experience 0 + 2 years in Wind Energy, electrical, mechanical and technical equipment.
• Valid driving license (NON CDL/CDL).
• Must be able to pass a physical exam and drug/alcohol screening.
• Must be able to climb and work atop freestanding wind turbine towers that exceed 250 ft in height.

Responsibilities

• The provision of preventative and corrective maintenance on GE 1.5 wind turbines as per DWT instructions.
• Completion of all relevant paperwork, including work order cards, checklists, etc.
• Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed.
• Performs scheduled maintenance as required.
• Performs unscheduled maintenance consisting of troubleshooting on mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Assist large corrective teams with replacement of major turbine components e.g. generators and gearboxes.
• Assist in all areas of site operations.
