Job summary

Sky Climber Renewables seeks an entry-level Wind Technician as part of the TOP Wind Service Technician Development Program. Technicians will receive exclusive safety and technical training accredited through GWO and work on wind turbine maintenance at sites near home.

Position reports to the Program Manager and Site Manager, with responsibilities including preventive and unscheduled maintenance, and documentation. Training upon hire covers safety, mechanical/electrical systems, and tower safety.

Qualifications

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass a motor vehicle record check.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Successful completion of a climb preview prior to hire.
• Associate’s degree in a technical mechanical field, wind energy discipline, or equivalent technical experience.
• Mechanical or electrical background.
• Ability to read and interpret basic diagrams and wiring schematics.

Responsibilities

• Follow all Environmental, Health and Safety procedures.
• Perform basic mechanical installations, maintenance, operations, and upgrades.
• Verify work complies with customer requirements.
• Document all work performed and report violations.
• Travel as required (up to 25%).
• Work at heights and in all weather conditions as needed.
