Job summary

GE Vernova’s Onshore wind power capacity is growing fast and will continue to rise in the coming years. As we grow our field teams, we seek a Wind Hub Technician with hands-on wind turbine experience who can troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems and perform maintenance at multiple Texas sites.

You will work with site leadership, document work and respond to GE’s remote operations center as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of wind technician or wind mechanic experience.
• Alternatively, 2+ years of hydraulic/electrical work with basic tool use and a knowledge assessment.

Responsibilities

• Work with site leadership to meet customer requirements and activities for electrical and mechanical equipment in GE wind turbines.
• Perform maintenance, repair or replacement of parts to correct malfunctions.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems on variable pitch & speed turbines.
• Assist in site operations with minimal supervision.
• Conduct diagnostic electrical analysis.
