Job summary

GE Vernova in the U.S. wind sector seeks a Wind Hub Technician to support onshore wind sites. You will work with site leadership to ensure contractual obligations are met and assist with electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical work on GE wind turbines.

This role requires climbing towers, lifting up to 45 lbs, and rotating shift support across Texas Hub sites. The position emphasizes hands-on troubleshooting, diagnostic analysis, and documentation of field service activities, with remote ops center

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year of wind technician/ wind mechanic experience or 2+ years with hydraulic/electrical experience and basic power tools.
• Willingness to lift up to 45 lbs., climb towers, and work rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Work with site leadership to meet customer requirements and daily activities on electrical and mechanical equipment in GE wind turbines.
• Perform maintenance, repair or replacement of parts to correct malfunctions.
• Troubleshoot complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems on variable pitch & variable speed turbines.
• Assist in all site operations with minimal supervision as directed by manager.
• Perform diagnostic electrical analysis.
• Document all work using computer-based service reporting procedures.
• Coordinate with GE’s remote operations center when needed.
