Job summary

GE Vernova is hiring a Wind Hub Technician to maintain and repair wind turbine equipment across Nebraska hubs. You will troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, perform scheduled maintenance, document all work, and coordinate with site leadership and GE’s remote operations center to ensure contract requirements are met.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, wind-energy training or experience, basic computer skills, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred.
• Experience as Wind Technician/Wind Mechanic or wind-energy education.
• Basic computer skills and valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with site/hub leadership to meet contractual obligations and site activities.
• Maintain, repair or replace parts to fix malfunctions on wind turbines.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on variable pitch and speed turbines.
• Support site operations under manager guidance with safety as priority.
• Conduct diagnostic electrical analyses and document results in service reports.
• Coordinate with GE’s remote operations center as needed.
