Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Wind Hub Technician to maintain wind turbine operations across Nebraska Hub 1 sites. The role emphasizes safety, daily maintenance, and warranty repairs, working with site leaders to meet contract requirements.

This position requires travel to multiple sites, climbing towers, lifting up to 50 lbs, and rotating shifts. Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic aptitude with a driver’s license is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and relevant wind industry training or experience.
• Wind turbine experience or certificate program/associates degree in energy.
• Ability to perform physical tasks and work in varied site environments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain turbine operations, safety, quality control, and warranty repair at wind sites.
• Perform maintenance, repair, or replacement of parts to correct malfunctions.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems on turbines.
• Document all work with computer-based service reporting procedures.
• Coordinate with GE's remote operations center when needed.
• Work with site leadership to meet contractual obligations and daily activities.
