Job summary

GE Vernova is hiring a Wind Hub Technician to maintain and repair turbine systems across Illinois wind sites. The role requires local travel, coordination with site leads, and adherence to GE safety and quality standards.

You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose electrical, hydraulic and mechanical issues, document work, and respond to GE’s remote operations center as needed. A valid driver's license and ability to lift 50 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, and relevant wind tech experience or certificate.
• 1+ year as Wind Technician/Mechanic or 2+ years electrical work.
• Valid driver's license and ability to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair or replace parts on GE wind turbines.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic and electrical issues.
• Document work using service reporting procedures.
• Coordinate with Site Lead and Manager to meet contract timelines.
• Support remote operations center when needed.
