Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Wind Hub Technician to maintain and repair wind turbine systems across Nebraska Hub 1 sites. The role requires local travel within the hub, performing electrical, hydraulic and mechanical maintenance, and documenting work using service reporting tools.

You will coordinate with site leadership to meet contractual obligations and safety standards. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, 1 year wind-tech experience (or related certificate/degree), and at least

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year of experience as a Wind Technician/Wind Mechanic, or completion of a Wind Certificate Program/Associates Degree in Energy.
• Minimum of 2 years of electrical work experience.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Work with site & hub leadership to execute contractual obligations per customer requirements and activities daily.
• Perform maintenance, repair or replacement of parts to correct malfunctions.
• Troubleshoot complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems on variable pitch & variable speed turbines.
• Help in all areas of site operations as directed by manager with minimal supervision; observe all safety requirements.
• Document all work performed using computer-based service reporting procedures and respond to GE’s remote operations center when necessary.
