Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Wind Hub Technician to support turbine operations across Illinois wind sites. You will work with site leadership to meet contractual obligations, perform maintenance, and document activities daily.

The role requires travel within the hub, hands-on electrical/mechanical troubleshooting, and adherence to safety procedures. A valid driver’s license and basic computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent with wind tech experience or wind certificate program/assoc degree.
• Associate/Bachelor in technical/electrical/electronics field preferred.
• Technical certification in Wind Energy or Electrical/Electronic field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and maintain wind turbine components at sites within the hub.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on turbines.
• Perform preventive maintenance and part replacements to fix malfunctions.
• Document work with service reporting and coordinate with GE remote operations.
