Job summary

Energy Exemplar is seeking a senior leader to head Solutions for Power Markets in the West Region, spanning the Western United States and Canada. You will own technical presales, lead a distributed team of experts, and drive winning demonstrations, POCs, and proposals that translate modeling into measurable customer value.

Bring 10–15+ years in power markets and 5+ years of presales leadership, with hands-on experience in PLEXOS, Aurora, and Adapt2.

Qualifications

• 10-15+ years in power markets or energy consulting.
• 5+ years leading technical presales or advisory teams.
• Experience owning technical wins for enterprise software/analytics sales.
• Working knowledge of ERCOT, CAISO, SPP, WECC, AESO, IESO.
• Hands-on modeling with production cost, capacity expansion, resource adequacy.
• Executive presence with utility/regulatory leaders.
• Data fluency with Python/SQL and AI/ML in energy modeling.
• Commercial acumen to qualify opportunities and shape deal strategy.

Responsibilities

• Lead the West Region presales Solutions team of energy economists and engineers.
• Own technical presales across discovery, design, demos, POCs, and proposals.
• Partner with Sales on territory plans and pipeline reviews.
• Map business problems to Energy Exemplar solutions across markets.
• Design market-specific demonstrations and workshops to prove value.
• Lead POC pilots with clear success criteria and exit decisions.
• Own responses to RFPs/RFIs and define statements of work for handoff.
• Handoff closed deals to Services with aligned scope and artifacts.
• Represent Energy Exemplar at ISO forums and conferences.
• Track presales metrics and report regional pipeline health.
