Energy Exemplar, founded in 1999, is seeking a Head of Solutions, Power Markets (West Region) to lead the presales team across the Western US and Canada. The role owns technical win strategies for ERCOT, CAISO, SPP, WECC, AESO, IESO and coordinates with Sales and Services to deliver measurable customer outcomes.

The ideal candidate has 10–15+ years in power markets, strong leadership, and hands-on modeling with PLEXOS/Aurora.

Qualificações

• 10–15+ years in power markets, energy consulting, or utility planning.
• 5+ years leading technical presales or advisory teams.
• Working knowledge of ERCOT, CAISO, SPP, WECC, AESO, IESO market designs.
• Hands-on production cost, capacity expansion, or resource adequacy modeling with PLEXOS/Aurora.
• Ability to run multiple concurrent pursuits, allocate specialists, manage scope, timelines.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the West Region presales Solutions team of energy economists, power systems engineers, and modeling specialists.
• Own technical presales from discovery to proposals for PLEXOS, Aurora, and Adapt2 opportunities.
• Partner with the Regional VP of Sales on territory plans, account strategies, and pipeline reviews.
• Map business problems to Energy Exemplar solutions during prospect discovery.
• Design compelling, market-specific demonstrations and workshops to prove value.
• Scope and execute proofs of concept and pilots with clear success criteria.
• Lead responses to RFPs/RFIs; own solution architecture, pricing inputs, and SOWs for Services handoff.
• Operate Presales-to-Services handoff protocol for closed deals.
• Bring deep market expertise across ERCOT, CAISO, SPP, WECC, AESO, IESO for credible positioning.
• Translate regulatory changes into use cases, campaigns, and pipeline.
• Drive expansion within existing accounts by identifying new use cases and upsell opportunities.
• Build reusable demo environments and datasets to scale capacity.
• Represent Energy Exemplar at ISO forums and conferences; relay feedback to Product/Marketing.
• Track presales metrics and report pipeline health monthly.
