Job summary

Arcadis seeks a Principal Design Manager to grow water, wastewater, stormwater and solid waste opportunities in West Florida, based in Tampa, Orlando or Jacksonville offices. You will lead water/wastewater project delivery, mentor engineers and support strategic market initiatives.

You will collaborate with area leaders and clients to win projects, manage budgets and schedules, and ensure QA/QC across design activities while advancing sustainable, resilient solutions.

Qualifications

• 18 years of experience in client service, design management and project management in water/wastewater/stormwater/resilience/solid waste.
• Bachelor of Science in Civil, Environmental, Water Resources, or related field.
• Florida P.E. license or able to obtain within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and technical expertise to develop design team capabilities in collaboration with national practices.
• Lead project tasks with PMs and clients through planning, design, permitting, construction and documentation.
• Prepare detailed engineering calculations and analyses using design software to solve complex issues.
• Develop scopes, schedules and budgets for each assignment.
• Collaborate with PMs and area managers to identify needs and opportunities for proposals.
• Maintain strong client relationships through professionalism and technical excellence.
