Job summary

Arcadis seeks a Principal Design Manager to grow water, wastewater, stormwater, and solid waste opportunities in West Florida. Based in Tampa, Orlando, or Jacksonville, you will lead and deliver municipal water/wastewater projects, mentor engineers, and manage budgets and schedules.

You will develop client relationships, provide technical leadership, and ensure QA/QC across projects while collaborating with national practices. Travel up to 20% may be required.

Qualifications

• 18 years of experience in client service, design management, and project management in the water, wastewater, stormwater, resilience and solid waste sectors.
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil, Environmental, Water Resources, or a related field of study.
• Florida P.E. License or ability to obtain within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage project delivery within municipal Water/Wastewater, coordinating with project managers and clients.
• Plan, design, permit and construct water, wastewater and/or reclaimed water facilities and oversee construction documents.
• Develop detailed engineering calculations and analyses; use design software to solve complex issues.
• Manage scope, delivery schedules and budgets; support winning proposals and interviews.
• Mentor junior staff and ensure QA/QC across water/wastewater projects; ensure compliance with contracts and Arcadis standards.
