Challenge Manufacturing in Spartanburg, SC is seeking a Weld Tech to support automated welding cells on the 3rd shift (9:00 PM – 5:00 AM). You will perform setup, troubleshooting, maintenance, and safety-driven tasks to ensure high-quality welding operations.

The role requires reading and interpreting job element sheets, using measuring tools, and collaborating with the team to minimize downtime. ESOP benefits and comprehensive health coverage are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English to perform duties.
• Industrial truck and aerial platform licenses.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Complete Weld Tech curriculum and trainee program.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety procedures while servicing or maintaining equipment.
• Mentor Weld Technician trainees.
• Perform welding cell setup, troubleshooting and preventative maintenance.
• Handle weld tip/cap changes and weld gun maintenance.
• Run and troubleshoot Red Rabbit processes and adjust sensors as needed.
• Perform occasional changeovers of stationary and automated weld cells.
