Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing in Spartanburg, SC is seeking a Weld Technician with Weld Tech training to join a 3rd shift team. You will perform setup, troubleshooting and operation of automated welding cells, while mentoring trainee weld technicians and maintaining equipment to high safety standards.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, English proficiency, and licenses for forklift and aerial platforms.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, and understand English to perform job duties.
• Industrial truck and aerial platform licenses required.
• Experience with basic measurement tools and hand tools.
• Completion of Weld Tech training with passing grade.
• Strong safety awareness and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety procedures while servicing or maintaining equipment.
• Mentor Weld Technician trainees.
• Perform setup, troubleshooting and operation of automated welding cells.
• Change weld tips/caps and perform gun maintenance.
• Perform preventative maintenance on fixtures and cells.
• Assist with robot and cell resets; support plant flow.
