Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing is seeking a Weld Electrician II for the Spartanburg, SC plant on a 3rd shift (9:00 PM - 5:00 AM, Sun-Thurs). The role covers plan layout, installation, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems on stamping presses, conveyors, and feeders in a fast-paced automotive environment.

You will diagnose malfunctions, read blueprints, install conduits, and ensure compliance with NEC and safety procedures. Strong teamwork and reliability are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing electrical malfunctions in industrial equipment.
• Ability to install electrical conduit and devices per National Electrical Code.
• Capable of reading prints and job specs to ensure safety and conformance.

Responsibilities

• Plan layout and installation of wiring and fixtures per job specs and codes.
• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical systems and equipment.
• Inspect for hazards and compliance; advise on hazardous operation continuation.
• Direct and train apprentices in wiring, maintenance, and repair tasks.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and replace faulty wiring or components.
