Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing is seeking an Automation Technician to support setup, troubleshooting, and operation of automated welding cells in our Spartanburg, SC facility. You will mentor level I-III technicians and weld technicians, ensuring safe operation and adherence to procedures.

The role requires strong electrical/mechanical troubleshooting, PLC knowledge, and the ability to program robot systems with RoboCAD/Robot Studio as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain industrial truck and aerial platform licenses.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of PLC systems and intermediate programming methods.
• Mechatronics certificate or journeyperson card preferred.

Responsibilities

• Mentor Automation Technician I-III and Weld Technicians.
• Follow safety procedures and service/maintain equipment.
• Perform intermediate robot programming tasks and offline programming.
