Job summary

Airgas is hiring a Welding Specialist in Greenville, NC to visit client sites and internal plants, evaluate welding processes, and propose advanced technologies that improve efficiency and safety. You will mentor the Welding Specialist team and coordinate automation installations across stakeholders, while growing Airgas Advanced Fabrication Sales Methodology.

The role emphasizes hands-on technical support, field sales, and delivering measurable value to customers in a dynamic manufacturing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent years of welding experience.
• Five or more years in B2B or specialized sales.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and required insurance.
• Advance sales methodology to grow capital equipment, robotics, automation solutions.
• Provide knowledgeable support on CNC cutting, robotic welding, plasma/laser integration.
• Mentor the Welding Specialist team; deliver onsite training to customers.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate customer welding/cutting practices and conduct weld surveys and efficiency analyses.
• Visit internal field plants and client sites to identify bottlenecks and safety improvements.
• Propose advanced technologies to enhance efficiency and safety.
• Coordinate installation and servicing of fixed and robotic automation projects.
• Share expertise and provide training to upskill customer workforce.
• Collect market trends and report customer needs to Airgas leadership.
