Job summary

Airgas, Inc. is hiring a Welding Process Specialist in Greenville, NC. You will visit client sites and Airgas plants to evaluate welding processes, identify bottlenecks, and recommend safer, more efficient techniques.

The role blends advanced technical support with sales to drive adoption of automation and robotics solutions. You will mentor the Welding Specialist team, train customers onsite, and coordinate fixed and robotic automation projects while tracking market trends and customer needs to

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent welding experience.
• Five+ years in B2B or specialized sales.
• Reliable transportation with current driver's license and minimum liability insurance as required by state.
• Advance the Airgas Advanced Fabrication Sales Methodology to grow capital equipment, robotics, and automation solutions.
• Provide knowledgeable support on CNC cutting systems, robotic welding systems, and plasma/laser integration.
• Mentor the Sales team and provide onsite product training for customers to upskill their workforce.

Responsibilities

• Visit internal field plants and client sites to evaluate welding processes.
• Perform Weld Surveys and Efficiency Analyses to recommend improvements.
• Contribute to growth of capital equipment and automation solutions.
• Support CNC cutting, robotic welding, and plasma/laser integration expertise.
• Coordinate installation and servicing of fixed and robotic automation projects.
• Report market trends and customer needs to Airgas leadership.
