Job summary

Airgas, Inc. is seeking a Welding Process Specialist in Milwaukee, WI or Elk Grove Village, IL.

This advanced technical sales and field role focuses on evaluating welding processes, identifying bottlenecks, and proposing safer, more efficient solutions that marry welding engineering with operations. You will visit internal and client sites, provide on-site training, mentor the Welding Specialist team, and coordinate fixed and robotic automation projects.

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation with valid driver's license.
• Evaluate welding/cutting practices and perform Weld Surveys/Efficiency Analyses.
• Advance the Airgas Advanced Fabrication Sales Methodology to grow capital equipment/automation.
• Provide knowledgeable support on CNC cutting systems, robotic welding systems, and plasma/laser integration.
• Mentor the Welding Specialist team; provide onsite product and application training.
• Coordinate installation and servicing of fixed and robotic automation projects.
• Collect and report on market trends and customer needs to keep Airgas as a leader.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate customer welding/cutting practices and conduct Weld Surveys and Efficiency Analyses.
• Advance the Airgas Advanced Fabrication Sales Methodology to contribute to the growth of capital equipment, robotics, and automation solutions.
• Provide knowledgeable support and sharing of expertise on CNC cutting systems, robotic welding systems, and plasma/laser integration.
• Act as a mentor to the wider Welding Specialist team; provide onsite product and application training for customers.
• Coordinate the installation and servicing of fixed and robotic automation projects, ensuring alignment across all stakeholders.
• Collect and report on market trends, industry activities, and customer needs to keep Airgas as a trusted reference.
