Job summary

Airgas is looking for a Welding Sales Specialist to join our team in Reading, PA with roles across multiple Airgas sites including Harrisburg and Philadelphia. The position combines advanced welding engineering with field sales, visiting client sites to assess processes and drive safety, efficiency, and adoption of new technologies.

The role emphasizes on-site coaching, installation coordination, and collaboration with internal teams to grow capital equipment sales, robotics, and automation,

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent welding experience.
• B2B or specialized sales experience (5+ years).
• Ability to train and mentor sales teams onsite.
• Knowledge of CNC cutting, robotic welding, plasma/laser integration.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate welding practices and conduct surveys to recommend improvements.
• Support capital equipment, robotics, and automation solutions.
• Provide technical training to customers and staff.
• Coordinate installation and servicing of automation projects.
• Report market trends and customer needs to Airgas leadership.
