Airgas is hiring a Welding Process Specialist in Milwaukee, WI or Elk Grove Village, IL. You will evaluate welding processes at customer sites, identify bottlenecks, and propose advanced technologies to improve safety and efficiency in an operations-driven role.

The position emphasizes field visits, hands-on support for CNC and robotic systems, and mentorship of the Welding Specialist team. Competitive benefits and a strong sales-orientation are part of the package.

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
• Evaluate customer welding/cutting practices and conduct surveys to identify improvements.
• Contribute to sales methodology and growth of capital equipment/automation solutions.
• Provide training and technical support on CNC, robotic welding, plasma/laser systems.

Responsibilities

• Visit internal field plants and customer sites to evaluate welding processes.
• Identify bottlenecks and propose safer, more efficient techniques.
• Coordinate installation and service of fixed and robotic automation projects.
• Mentor Welding Specialist team and provide onsite product training.
• Report market trends and customer needs to Airgas leadership.
