Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in welding processes (GMAW, GTAW, SMAW, FCAW, SAW) within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience in developing and qualifying welding procedures (WPS/PQR) to industry codes (ASME, AWS).
• Strong understanding of metallurgy, material properties, and their impact on weldability and weld quality.
• Familiarity with non-destructive testing (NDT) methods and their application in quality control.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize welding procedures and parameters for various manufacturing processes.
• Conduct root cause analysis for welding defects and implement corrective actions.
• Evaluate and select appropriate welding equipment, consumables, and materials.
• Provide technical support and training to welding technicians and manufacturing personnel.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and customer specifications for welding.
• Implement and manage welding quality control programs and inspection plans.
