Job summary

Candidate must have a bachelor’s in Welding Engineering or related field, 5+ years in manufacturing welding, CWEng or equivalent, and strong knowledge of AWS D1.1 and ASME IX. AWS-CWI and robotics experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Welding Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
• 5+ years welding engineering experience in manufacturing.
• CWEng or equivalent certification.
• Proficient in GMAW, GTAW, SMAW, FCAW and metallurgy.
• Experience with NDE and quality control in welding.
• Familiarity with AWS D1.1 and ASME IX.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize welding procedures for manufacturing processes.
• Conduct root cause analysis and corrective actions for welding defects.
• Evaluate and select welding equipment, consumables, and automation.
• Provide technical support and training to welding technicians and staff.
• Ensure compliance with industry codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Lead continuous improvement to enhance welding quality, efficiency, and cost.
