Job summary

Ideal candidates hold a CWEng certification, a related bachelor's, and 3+ years in welding-rich environments, with hands-on experience in GMAW, GTAW, FCAW, and SMAW.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of manufacturing experience focused on welding processes and metallurgy.
• AWS CWEng or equivalent certification.
• Proficiency in welding processes: GMAW, GTAW, FCAW, SMAW.
• Knowledge of welding codes and standards (AWS D1.1, ASME Section IX).
• Experience with welding automation, robotics, and advanced welding techniques.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize welding procedures for manufacturing processes.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for welding defects.
• Evaluate and qualify new welding technologies, equipment, and materials.
• Provide technical support and training to welding technicians and manufacturing personnel.
• Ensure compliance with industry codes, standards, and customer specifications.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives related to welding quality and efficiency.
• Collaborate with design engineers to ensure weldability of new product designs.
