Job summary

The Recruiting Hive in Wyoming is seeking an experienced welder or metal fabricator to become a Welding & Fabrication Instructor for the Rocky Mountain Region. This role moves from the shop floor into a leadership position, mentoring the next generation of tradespeople.

You’ll teach welding techniques (SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, GTAW), demonstrate CNC plasma tables and automated cutters, and support students with shop safety, measuring, layout, and cutting.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional welding and fabrication experience.
• Blueprint reading and shop safety knowledge.
• Willingness to learn CNC and digital shop tools.
• Strong communication and teamwork.
• Industry certifications (AWS, API) are a plus but not required.
• Ability to learn digital systems used in a training environment.

Responsibilities

• Teach welding techniques (SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, GTAW) through lectures and hands-on instruction.
• Demonstrate equipment use—including CNC plasma tables and automated cutters.
• Support students with shop safety, accurate measuring, layout, and cutting.
• Utilize grading software and collaborate on curriculum development and projects.
