Job summary

Rocky Mountain Regional Training Center in Wyoming is seeking an experienced welder or metal fabricator to move into a leadership role and train the next generation of tradespeople. You will mentor students while keeping hands-on shop work at the core of the role.

Applicants should have 7+ years of welding/fabrication experience, blueprint reading skills, and familiarity with CNC/digital shop tools. The position offers full benefits and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional welding and fabrication experience.
• Background in blueprint reading and shop safety protocols.
• Familiarity with CNC and digital shop tools.
• Strong communicator with a team-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Teaching welding techniques (SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, GTAW) through lectures and hands-on shop instruction.
• Demonstrating equipment use—including CNC plasma tables and automated cutters.
• Supporting students with shop safety, accurate measuring, layout, and cutting.
• Utilizing grading software and collaborating on curriculum development and projects.
