Job summary

True North Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Welding & Fabrication Instructor for the Rocky Mountain Region. Move from the shop floor into a leadership role, mentoring the next generation of tradespeople while maintaining hands-on engagement.

You'll teach welding techniques (SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, GTAW), operate CNC plasma tables and automated cutters, and support safety, layout, and curriculum development in collaboration with students on projects.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional welding/fabrication experience.
• Background in blueprint reading, cutting techniques, and shop safety protocols.
• Willingness to learn CNC and digital shop tools.

Responsibilities

• Teach welding techniques (SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, GTAW) through lectures and hands-on shop instruction.
• Demonstrate equipment use, including CNC plasma tables and automated cutters.
• Support students with shop safety, measuring, layout, and cutting.
• Utilize grading software and collaborate on curriculum development and projects.
