Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of welding engineering experience in manufacturing environment.
• CWI (Certified Welding Inspector) certification or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of welding processes (GMAW, GTAW, FCAW, SAW) and their manufacturing application.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints and welding symbols.
• Experience with NDT methods and quality control procedures in welding.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize welding procedures for various manufacturing processes.
• Conduct root cause analysis for welding defects and implement corrective actions.
• Evaluate and select welding equipment, consumables, and robotic systems.
• Provide technical support and training to welding technicians and manufacturing personnel.
• Collaborate with design engineers to ensure weldability and optimize product design.
• Implement and maintain quality control standards for welding operations.
• Research and apply new welding technologies to improve efficiency and quality.
