Job summary

Qualified candidates bring 5+ years in welding engineering, familiarity with GMAW, GTAW, SMAW, SAW, and a strong metallurgy background. AWS CWI/CWE is a plus; CAD tooling like SolidWorks or AutoCAD is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in welding engineering or related field is required.
• 5+ years of welding engineering experience in manufacturing.
• AWS CWI or CWE certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize welding procedures for various manufacturing processes.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for welding defects.
• Specify and procure welding equipment, consumables, and tooling.
• Provide technical support and training to welding technicians and production staff.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and customer specifications.
• Evaluate new welding technologies and materials for potential implementation.
• Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to ensure weldability of components.
