Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering or related field required.
5+ years of welding engineering experience in manufacturing.
Experience with multiple welding processes (GMAW, GTAW, SMAW, SAW).
Strong understanding of welding codes and specs (AWS D1.1, ASME IX).
Experience with weld procedure qualification and welder qualification.
Proficiency in metallurgical analysis and failure investigation.

Responsibilities

Develop and qualify welding procedures (WPS/PQR) per industry standards.
Provide technical support to production for welding issues and process improvements.
Conduct root cause analysis for welding defects and implement corrective actions.
Evaluate and select welding equipment, consumables, and automation for manufacturing.
Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to ensure weldability and cost-effectiveness.
Perform internal audits and ensure compliance with welding codes and quality standards.
