Job summary

Aerotek in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a Welder and Fitter to join our shop team. You will perform MIG welding, read blueprints, and work with sheet metal on diverse projects in a fast-paced environment.

This Contract to Hire role offers a starting pay of $25.00-$28.00 per hour, with eligibility for a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental and vision coverage, a 401(k) plan, life and disability insurance, HSA, and PTO. Work with a tight-knit crew of 10–12 in a fully onsite shop.

Job Title: Welder and Fitter

$25-$28 starting rate based on overall experience, weld test results, and ability to use shop equipment for fabrication work.

Responsibilities

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in MIG welding techniques.


• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.


• Experience using tape measures, micrometers, and calipers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with TIG welding is a plus.


• Familiarity with press brake operations is advantageous.


• Experience in laser operation is a beneficial addition.

Pay and Benefits
