Responsibilities include TIG and MIG welding, blueprint reading, and assembling and fabricating complex components. The ideal candidate will work independently with strong attention to detail and safety, while contributing to on-time project completion.

Job Title: TIG Welder / Fabricator
Job Description

We are seeking a skilled TIG Welder / Fabricator to join our growing custom fabrication team. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in producing high-quality work and enjoys a variety of projects rather than repetitive production welding. As a custom job shop, we work on a wide range of industrial, commercial, agricultural, and specialty fabrication projects. The right candidate will have strong TIG welding experience, solid fabrication skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining exceptional quality standards.

Responsibilities
  • Perform TIG welding on stainless steel, aluminum, carbon steel, and other materials as required.
  • Complete MIG welding and general fabrication tasks on custom projects.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, weld symbols, and specifications.
  • Fit, assemble, and fabricate components to meet project requirements.
  • Weld and fabricate custom parts, assemblies, frames, and structural components.
  • Measure, cut, grind, and prepare materials for fabrication and welding.
  • Operate fabrication equipment including saws, grinders, drills, and other shop tools.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects on schedule.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and productive work environment.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.
Essential Skills
  • Previous welding and fabrication experience with TIG welding preferred.
  • Experience with MIG welding and metal fabrication.
  • Ability to work with various materials and thicknesses.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and manage project priorities.
  • Dependable attendance and reliable transportation.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and producing quality work.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with stainless steel and aluminum fabrication.
  • Experience with structural steel fabrication.
  • Experience with custom metal fabrication.
  • Experience with industrial or agricultural equipment fabrication.
  • Experience with pipe and tube welding.
  • Experience with repair and maintenance welding.
  • Experience with plasma cutting, oxy-fuel cutting, brake press, shear, or other fabrication equipment.

Work Environment

Work Monday to Friday from 7am to 3:30pm in a custom job shop setting, handling a variety of fabrication projects. Use state-of-the-art equipment including saws, grinders, drills, and more. Enjoy a collaborative environment focused on safety, organization, and productivity.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kennewick, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $29.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
