Aerotek is seeking a Welder for a first shift contract-to-hire role in Union, Missouri, performing MIG welding on stainless steel with opportunities for overtime. The position requires reading blueprints, setting up welding equipment, and maintaining quality welds in a fast-paced job-shop setting.

Ideal candidates hold MIG certification, have machine setup experience, and can perform basic shop math while adhering to safety procedures.

Job Title: Welder

Join our team as a MIG Welder and contribute to our dynamic fabrication environment. This position operates on a first shift schedule with four ten-hour days and opportunities for overtime. You'll thrive in a fast-paced, job-shop setting where projects frequently change, allowing you to engage in a variety of builds.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on a variety of parts and assemblies, primarily using stainless steel.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and weld symbols.
• Set up and operate welding equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform basic shop math including measurements, tolerances, and material calculations.
• Inspect finished welds to ensure quality standards are met.
• Adapt to changing projects and different job requirements.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Essential Skills

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Union, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
