MIG Welder - Leesburg, FL

Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour (Based on Experience)

Schedule

• Monday - Thursday: 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM
• Friday: 7:00 AM - 2:30 PM
• Typical workweek averages approximately 45 hours
• Opportunity for additional hours and early start times when available

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced MIG Welder to join our fabrication team in Leesburg, FL. This role involves welding and fabricating custom steel products and equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Candidates should be comfortable working with carbon steel ranging from light-gauge materials to heavy structural components up to 4 inches thick.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on carbon steel materials ranging from 10 gauge to 4 inches thick , with most weldments being 1 inch and under.
• Weld primarily in 1G and 2F positions.
• Utilize 0.035 and 0.045 welding wire to produce high-quality welds.
• Follow blueprints, fabrication drawings, and work instructions to complete projects accurately.
• Weld components using jigs and fixtures.
• Fabricate and assemble components for custom steel products and equipment.
• Perform fitting, measuring, layout, tack welding, grinding, and final assembly as required.
• Inspect completed welds to ensure quality and compliance with specifications.
• Assist with general fabrication duties and shop operations as needed.

Qualifications

Required

• Previous MIG welding experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment.
• Experience welding carbon steel.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings.
• Prior fabrication and fitting experience.
• Comfortable welding heavier-gauge plate and structural steel components.
• Experience with measuring, layout, fitting, tack welding, and grinding.

Preferred

• Flux-core welding experience.
• Stick welding experience.
• Pulse spray transfer welding experience.
