Job summary

Community Health Resources (CHR) in Willimantic, CT is seeking a Part-time Peer Recovery Specialist for the REST Center. The role supports individuals in recovery, performing assessments, coaching, and care coordination to prevent crises and connect clients to ongoing community resources.

The position requires CPSRP/CCAR certification or progress toward certification, 2+ years of relevant experience, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Lived experience recovering from mental health or substance use conditions.
• Minimum 2 years working with identified populations.
• CPSRP or CCAR Recovery Coach certification required or to be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Valid Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Assists clients in identifying and advocating recovery goals.
• Uses program models to inform and educate on recovery strategies.
• Conducts program assessments and screens as indicated.
• Collaborates to create individualized, person-centered treatment plans.
• Provides crisis intervention or de-escalation as needed.
• Provides case management and coordinates with supports and treatment teams.
• Documents in line with agency standards.
