Job summary

Community Health Resources (CHR) REST Center in Willimantic is seeking a part-time Recovery Support Specialist to support individuals in crises with recovery-focused care and peer support.

You will conduct assessments, develop person-centered plans, and coordinate with treatment teams to connect clients with community resources. Lived experience and CPSRP/CCAR certifications are valued, with licensing steps required within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Lived experience recovering from mental health or substance use as required.
• 2+ years working with identified populations; CPSRP preferred; in long-term recovery.
• Must obtain CPSRP or CCAR or equivalent certification within 6 months of hire; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Identify and advocate for clients' recovery goals.
• Use motivational interventions to educate on recovery strategies.
• Conduct program assessments and screenings as indicated.
• Collaborate to create individualized, person-centered treatment plans.
• Provide skills teaching and crisis de-escalation as needed.
• Perform case management and connect to supports and services.
• Screen for Social Determinants of Health and address barriers to care.
• Maintain compliant documentation and participate in team meetings.
