Job summary

Sentara Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Physician Practice in a remote weekend day shift role (Sat, Sun, Mon, 7am–7:30pm). The RN will provide care in a physician practice or ambulatory clinic setting, coordinate with physicians and staff, and support population health outreach.

You will assess patients, assist with examinations, administer medications and immunizations, and maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record.

Qualifications

• ADN required; BSN preferred.
• 1–2 years ambulatory/clinic or medical-surgical nursing experience preferred.
• Current state RN license required; NCLEX-RN completed; Ambulatory Care Nursing (AMB-BC) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in ambulatory/clinic settings.
• Assess patients and assist with examinations and procedures.
• Administer medications and immunizations.
• Coordinate referrals, follow-up, and continuity of care.
• Maintain clinical documentation in the EHR.
