Job summary

Sentara Medical Group is hiring a PRN Registered Nurse for the Physician Practice in a remote weekend day shift (Sat, Sun, Mon) from 7am to 7:30pm. The RN provides care in a physician practice/ambulatory clinic, assesses patients, assists with procedures, administers medications, and coordinates care with physicians and staff.

Qualifications

• ADN required; BSN preferred.
• 1–2 years ambulatory/clinic or medical-surgical nursing experience preferred.
• Current state RN license; NCLEX-RN passed; AMB-BC certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and perform triage in person and by phone.
• Assist physicians with examinations and procedures.
• Administer medications, immunizations, and treatments.
• Coordinate referrals, follow-up, and continuity of care.
• Support prevention and population health outreach.
• Document care in the electronic health record.
