Job summary

Sentara Health is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse for the Physician Practice in a remote weekend day shift setting (Sat, Sun, Mon, 7am–7:30pm). You will provide nursing care in a physician practice or ambulatory clinic, performing triage, assisting with procedures, and coordinating care with physicians and staff.

The role requires ADN with BSN preferred, active RN license, NCLEX-RN, and ambulatory care experience.

Qualifications

• ADN required; BSN preferred.
• 1–2 years ambulatory/clinic nursing experience preferred.
• Current state RN license required; NCLEX-RN completed.
• AMB-BC certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Triage patients in person and via telephone.
• Assist physicians with examinations and procedures.
• Administer medications and immunizations.
• Coordinate referrals, follow-up and care continuity.
• Document care in the electronic health record and support population health outreach.
