Akron Children's in Akron, OH is seeking a Weekend Team Lead Patient Access to coordinate daily operations, mentor staff, and ensure accurate registration, insurance verification, and payments. The role covers weekends with start times at 7am or 9am and includes holiday coverage.

You will manage staffing, monitor queues, and collaborate with ED, Outpatient, Urgent Care, and Admitting teams. Epic experience and related certifications are preferred.

Competenze

• Excellent verbal and written communication with patients and staff.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a busy environment.
• Experience mentoring and leading a patient access team is preferred.
• Knowledge of patient registration, insurance verification, and payments.
• Epic experience and revenue cycle knowledge are preferred.

Mansioni

• Lead weekend operations and staff coverage to maintain patient flow.
• Coordinate registrations, insurance verification, estimates, and payments.
• Assign shifts, monitor queues, and ensure timely documentation.
• Schedule appointments and verify medical orders per protocol.
• Collaborate with ED, Outpatient, Urgent Care, and Admitting teams.
• Conduct audits and provide weekly feedback to supervision.
• Participate in interviewing, onboarding, and staff training.
• Address patient concerns and escalate as needed.
• Support process improvements as SME and participate in projects.
