Job summary

The Michaels Companies is seeking an energetic Part-time Event Host to coordinate and host events at the Newtown Square store. You will plan and execute kids’ birthday parties and other craft events, deliver friendly customer service, and ensure a delightful shopping and event experience for guests.

Responsibilities include coordinating event logistics, engaging participants, leading activities, and handling add-ons while maintaining store standards.

Qualifications

• Must be energetic and enthusiastic with a friendly demeanor.
• Must have excellent people skills and communication abilities.
• Experience working with children and coordinating children’s events is preferred.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and creative problem-solving skills are required.
• Retail or customer service experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events at a Michaels store, including kids’ parties and craft classes.
• Engage with guests of all ages to create fun, creative experiences.
• Demonstrate and assist with party activities; lead face painting and other activities as needed.
• Coordinate add-ons (goody bags, balloons) and communicate events to clients and team.
• Handle administrative tasks (emails, calls, paperwork) and ensure store standards.
