Job summary

The Michaels Companies in Warrington, PA is seeking a Weekend Event Host to plan and coordinate in-store events, including children’s parties and craft classes. You will engage guests of all ages, demonstrate projects, and manage event add-ons while maintaining store standards.

Responsibilities include coordinating with store teams, handling administrative tasks, and ensuring a fun, safe, and organized event experience.

Qualifications

• Energetic, enthusiastic personality and strong people skills.
• Experience working with children and organizing kids' events is preferred.
• Excellent verbal, written, and nonverbal communication abilities.
• Retail or customer service background helps in guest interactions.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events in-store, including children’s birthday parties and craft classes.
• Engage with guests of all ages to create a fun, creative environment.
• Demonstrate and guide party projects and activities.
• Facilitate add-ons like goody bags and balloons per company standards.
• Communicate event details with clients and store team members.
• Handle administrative tasks: emails, calls, paperwork as needed.
• Set up, run, and break down events; ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Support customer experience with shopping assistance and checkout.
• Assist with omni-channel tasks (BOPIS/SFS) and store processes.
