Job summary

Michaels is seeking an energetic Event Coordinator at our North Wales, PA store to plan and execute a variety of in-store events, including children’s birthday parties and craft classes. You will engage guests of all ages, demonstrate and guide activities, and ensure a friendly checkout and shopping experience while delivering our Brand Promises.

Qualifications

• Energetic, enthusiastic personality with ability to engage guests of all ages.
• Excellent people skills and experience working with children’s events.
• Strong communication (written, verbal, nonverbal) and listening skills.
• Organizational skills and creative problem-solving for event planning.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events (including children’s birthday parties and craft classes).
• Engage customers, demonstrate crafts, and guide participants through activities.
• Set up, run, and tear down events; handle add-ons (balloons, goody bags) per standards.
• Communicate events with clients and store team; manage administrative tasks (emails, calls).
• Support in-store customer experience, checkout efficiency, and omni-channel processes (BOPIS, SFS).
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety; assist with stock and planogram duties as needed.
