Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. in Temple, PA is seeking an energetic Event Coordinator to plan, coordinate and facilitate in-store events, including children's parties, to deliver a fun and engaging guest experience.

You will work with customers of all ages, support party activities, process enrollments for rewards, and ensure flawless execution from setup to cleanup in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience is required.
• Experience working with children and orchestrating events.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage plans.
• Ability to follow SOPs and policies.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate in-store events, including childreninished parties, to deliver a fun guest experience.
• Assist customers, help shop for products, and provide solutions.
• Manage set-up, run of show, and break-down for events in the store.
• Coordinate with store team on event logistics, reservations, and add-ons.
• Engage clients of all ages and enroll them in relevant programs (Rewards, Private Label Credit Cards) when appropriate.
• Perform administrative tasks such as answering emails and phone calls related to events.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety during events and routine operations.
